The Night of Museums (Nacht der Museen) will take place in Frankfurt and Offenbach on 5th May 2018. This is one of the most popular cultural events in FrankfurtRheinMain. On this day you can visit around 50 museums and exhibitions in Frankfurt and Offenbach from 7 pm to 2 am. You only need to pay an entrance fee of 17 € to get access to all participating museums. The event will be supported by music, readings, performances, theatre, workshops, video installations, parties and delicious international food along the Main River. Most of the museums are located close to each other on the riverbank (Museumsufer) and are easily accessible by feet. All events can also be reached with the free shuttle bus. You will find a central information point located at the Römerberg which will provide you with all the information on the programme.
With around 50 museums and exhibitions, the choice is difficult. For example, you can visit the new building of the Historical Museum and learn more about Frankfurt's city history, or the Städel Museum with the large Rubens exhibition on the Museumsufer. You can also enjoy french chansons in the Struwwelpeter-Museum, listen to persian folklore in the Goethe-Haus or admire Russian piano music in the Ikonen-Museum.
As the night of museums is very popular, some museums can become very crowded. In this case, have a look at another great museum and come back later.
We wish you a lot of fun on this spectacular night of museums!
