Europäische Schule Frankfurt am Main

European Schools are official education centers (such as Kindergarten, primary or secondary schools) that have been grounded by the governments of the member states of the European Union and the European Community. They enjoy all rights and have all duties attributed to public education bodies in each member state. The European School Frankfurt (ESF) is one of the 13 European Schools in seven EU-countries (Belgium, Germany, Italy, Luxemburg, The Netherlands and Spain).

The ESF is the education body in charge with the school education of the children, whose parents are staff of the institutions and agencies of the European Union. Other children are here also admitted on a fee base as far as further places are available. However, growing demand is leading the ESF against its physical limits, with the result that fewer children can be admitted, whose parents are not employed by the European Union.
