We have just returned back to our office today. And now we are not alone. Since the beginning of April we have two new colleagues supporting our team in the IO. Rebecca Gleixner and Amanda Ife will be helping Khaled Fakha with consultations, as well as communications and social media. We would like to introduce ourselves here:
Mr. Khaled Fakha
As a certified educational consultant, Khaled Fakha is very familiar with the challenges awaiting international skilled workers in FrankfurtRheinMain (FRM). He has lived here since 2013 and Frankfurt am Main is now home for him. He loves the international atmosphere, cultural diversity and the unique features of FRM. He supports people from all over the world on their arrival in the region, by giving them expert advice, and passing on his enthusiasm for the region.
Khaled Fakha has been part of the FRM International Office team from the beginning and helped set it up. He is an expert on matters relating to the recognition of professional qualifications and vocational training, as well as the German job market. He has a degree in Middle Eastern Studies with a focus on development economics as well as a qualification in business management.
Khaled Fakha speaks German, English and Arabic.
Ms. Rebecca Gleixner
Rebecca Gleixner is originally from a small town near Regensburg and came to FrankfurtRheinMain (FRM) for her studies. Since then she has never looked back and cannot imagine living anywhere else. She likes the fact that Frankfurt am Main is just the right size. You can easily go everywhere by bicycle, are close to nature, and at the same time there is so much variety and culture in FRM.
She is responsible for communications with a focus on social media and is looking forward to sharing FRM’s charm, helping newcomers discover the region, and getting to know it better herself! Before joining the team at the FRM International Office, Rebecca Gleixner was working for a Communications Agency and has expertise in social media storytelling, blogs, newsletters and event organization. She has a degree in Comparative Literature and spent a semester studying abroad in Tromsø, Norway.
Rebecca Gleixner speaks German, English, French and Norwegian.
Ms. Amanda Ife
Amanda Ife is originally from Ireland and knows first-hand the initial steps that new arrivals have to take before they can settle into FrankfurtRheinMain (FRM). She has lived in several European cities including London, Hamburg, Luxembourg, and Zurich, and moved to the FRM region in 2008. She has now settled here and thinks it is the best place to live in Europe! She loves the variety that the region has to offer, in particular the wine fests and Christmas markets, the greenery, culture, and the fact that FRM is so international.
She is responsible for communications with a focus on PR and external relations, and is looking forward to connecting with strategic partners, as well as expanding her expat network and supporting newcomers to the area. Before joining the team at the FRM International Office, Amanda Ife was working in international education, in the areas of admissions and marketing. She is well connected within the FRM international community and also has experience in the consular sector. She has a degree in German and Modern Greek, DELF and DALF French diplomas, and is a certified Marketing Manager.
Amanda Ife speaks English, German, French and Modern Greek.
